Records show the barn dates back to around 1816 and was used by the neighbouring vicarage. The village of Thixendale is remote and unspoilt within the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, offering picturesque scenery and good amenities having a friendly pub, general store, café and shop. Accommodation comprises shower room downstairs with a double bedroom upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, fridge, microwave and toaster. A separate shower room has electric shower, wash basin and W.C. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with the choice of either a king size or single beds. The Hayloft is double glazed throughout with ample storage space and is heated by night storage heaters. There is supplementary heating for winter lets. Within The Hayloft is a colour television showing some satellite channels, also a radio/cassette player. Outside there is off-road parking and use of the garden. All prices include electricity, bed linen and tea towels. Please bring your own bath towels. Booking is from Saturday to Saturday, arrival from 2pm, departure by 10am please. Terms are £50.00 deposit (non-returnable) with the balance due two weeks before arrival.
